1. Pour about a fourth of a pound of coffee (or 4 oz) into a 33 ounce press. This will make the base for your iced coffee. It will be strong, but it goes so well with ice and a bit of cream.
2. Fill the press with cold water and stir it to fully saturate the grinds.
3. Place the lid on the french press but don't plunge it yet. Leave it on your counter overnight (or about 12 hours).
4. Press down the plunger, then pour the concentrated mix into a pitcher and put in the fridge.
5. Build over ice with fresh cold water at a 1-to-1 ratio. You can play around with spices or sugar if you'd like. We sometimes use a pinch of ground cardamom with a splash of sweetened condensed milk.
