Espresso Trade In

Espresso Machine Trade In & Recycling Program

When you’re ready to upgrade your espresso machine or grinder, we’re here to help! Take that underutilized, underwhelming appliance that’s taking up space on your counter (or garage…) and harvest its value through our Trade In program. Here’s the skinny:

1. Assessment | Start by filling out the form below, then either drop off your machine at our Portland showroom on Fridays between 12 pm and 5:30 pm or ship it to us (we'll email you instructions). Once we receive it, our espresso tech will verify that your machine is in working condition.

2. Valuation | We’ll email you with a trade-in value of your machine. If it’s not worth repairing, you can take advantage of our completely sustainable recycling program. Learn more about our recycling partner here.

Clive Coffee has partnered with Total Reclaim, a Portland e-waste recycling company, to bring complete espresso machine recycling to Portland. Total Reclaim will completely disassemble your machine and separate the components by material type. Our program keeps espresso machines, and all of the plastics and metals inside of them, out of landfills. For more info, go to www.totalreclaim.com.

3. Upgrade | If you agree with the trade in value of your machine, we’ll create store credit in that amount that you can use towards a new machine. If not, you can take it back at no charge to you (If applicable, shipping costs are your responsibility).

Brands Accepted | Ascaso, Compak, DeLonghi, Gaggia, Izzo, La Spaziale, Mazzer, Macap, Pasquini, Quick Mill, Rancilio (Silvia and Rocky), Rocket Espresso, Saeco, Starbucks.

Age | Five years or newer

Condition | To be considered for a trade-in, the machine must be able to power on, pull a shot, and steam milk. If it cannot, consider sending it in for free recycling.

Ready to get started? Fill out this form and we’ll be in touch shortly with an estimate of your machine’s value and detailed instructions on preparing your machine for shipment. This step is important as it helps us keep track of all the machines in our service center.
