The Silvia is a solid, commercial grade machine with reliability, clean design, and absolutely zero cheap plastic parts. With a little bit of practice you'll be pulling beautiful, thick espresso shots with ease.
COMMERCIAL QUALITY
This remarkable machine delivers impressive quality normally seen on much more expensive models. The machine features a forged marine-grade brass boiler, plus chrome-plated brass group head and portafilter. The polished stainless steel housing envelops a sturdy iron frame.
The water tank is capacious, holding 67 ounces and minimizing fill-ups. The boiler holds 12 ounces to ensure a plenty of hot water and steam. Rancilio ensured other parts of the Silvia are built to last, like the rocker switches and control knobs.
PERFECT MACCHIATOS AND CAPPUCCINOS
The troubling thing with so many espresso machine is the pathetic leak of steam that comes out of the wand. The Silvia lets out a rambunctious yet smooth hiss that is easily controlled with a perfectly positioned knob. It’s so easy (almost cathartic) to steam up billowing, velvety micro-foam for a free pour macchiato or cappuccino. The commercial style SS steam wand is also solid and easy to clean with a wet towel.
SIMPLE, TIMELESS DESIGN
The Silvia is a genuine work-horse, and the simple, clean Italian design makes it so easy to clean up after a round of espresso-making. To minimize mess, a 3-way solenoid value relieves residual water pressure from the brewing head and moves it to the drip tray. This means the machine won’t drip water all over the place, and the excess moisture is pulled from the portafilter, leaving a solid espresso puck that can be removed with one little tap.
