Have any parties coming up in the next few months? Need to be thinking about some gift ideas for graduations, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, house warming parties or Bat Mitzvahs? We’ve had more than a few people come in looking to bundle up some home coffee gear into an awesome gift set, so look no further, we have some ideas!
There are a few factors that come into purchasing any gift; budget, size, usefulness, and a few others so we’ll start from the beginning.
Starting out small, the Aeropress coffee brewer is a great option for home use and also for those who love traveling and camping. With its compact size, durable build, and ability to brew hot coffee, iced coffee and even espresso (affogato *cough *cough) , it’s a perfect gift. Pair it with a stainless steel Able Disk and a Porlex Mini hand grinder for the ultimate gift set.
Another smaller option that can easily be expanded onto is a Chemex set. A beautifully iconic and timeless accessory for any kitchen countertop that is also very practical and useful (this is my go-to every morning). Keep it there, or add on a Stagg gooseneck kettle to ensure precise water flow and even distribution. You can also consider adding on a scale from Hario or Jennings to guarantee consistent brewing ratios.
French presses and other immersion methods such as the Duo Coffee Steeper are both very popular and very easy way to brew coffee. Our stainless steel French press by Frieling is a bullet-proof dual walled French press that won’t break, and it’s a beautiful artifact to display in your kitchen! The Duo is also a very neat and new brewing method that produces an extremely clean cup. These can be gifted alone, or will an electric grinder such as the Baratza Encore, or the Breville Smart Grinder Pro.
If you want to take it to the next level and consider a more automated brewing option, we have a few that we have grown to love. The Bonavita 1900 is a favorite at Clive along with Technivorm CDGT and the Oxo 9 Cup Coffee Brewer, which has a built in timer for those who want to wake up to fresh coffee. My personal favorite is the Ratio Eight Coffee Machine. It’s a stunning machine that somehow tastes even better than it looks. This would be the ultimate gift for your friends or family, and even yourself!
